Step by Step Women's Worship Team
Step
By Step is an all women worship team at First Baptist Church in Rockland,
led by Kathy Boothman. The group started out in 1997 with 6 ladies who
loved to sing for the Lord. The more they sang together, the better the
blend and the tighter the harmonies became. They began practicing one
night a week, and on Sunday mornings prior to the church service.
They have ministered to shut-ins at nursing homes and residential
homes, sang at Coffee Houses, the Rockland Stroll, Christmas Eve Services,
Hockey tournaments, outdoor concerts, and other events.
Step By Step
has
been going strong for all these years. A few of the members have changed
due to people moving on to other ministries, but God has always provided the
voices (parts) needed. They sing with the guitar, as well as accompaniment
tapes and cds.
Their main purpose for being together is to show the love of Jesus by
leading the worship time during the morning service on Sunday. God has
provided Step By Step with special friendships and prayer partners through
this endeavor. Each woman is thankful for the opportunity to serve God in
this way. May Jesus Christ be praised!
