      WELCOME to First Baptist Church of Rockland, MA!
      We are an independent Baptist Church affiliated with all churches of like faith and practice. We are located in southeastern Massachusetts about 20 miles south of Boston. The study and practice of God's Word is central to all that we do and are as a church. Our primary purpose as a church is to glorify God by Loving HIM with all of our Heart, Soul, Mind & Strength and proving this true by Loving one another as Christ Loved us. This we believe can only be accomplished through the careful study and application of God's Word and is the intent of the sermons preached by our pastor, Fred Boothman III.
        For 150 years now, we have been here as a church Celebrating People for God's Glory. It is an awesome experience to see this taking place within every area of our church. Our Worship Service is a Crescendo of these Celebrations. The music is Plentiful & Powerful! We have worship teams that alternate Sundays providing a variety of Contemporary Worship Choruses & Specials. In addition to our Worship Teams, a blend of Traditional Hymns, Solos, Duets, Quartets and from time to time, a full scale Choir, allow us the privilege of an abundance of music to lift us up for God's Glory.
